@hazeleyes662@LouSeph84@ruff2232@CoriBush Hmm. That's interesting bc when we refinanced our house we were told it couldn't be done. But that was at least 10 years ago so maybe rules have changed. Or we were misled
@MinaJBlazy@GiftedTawk Oh my goodness this is so true. I once asked the interview panel what advice they would have for me to get a good start if I got the job. The first person said, "grow a tough skin" followed by the others agreeing with her. I was turned off so quickly, I'm sure they could tell.
Breonna Taylor should be celebrating her 28th birthday today, yet not one officer was held accountable for murdering her.
That lack of accountability doesnโt change the fact that her life mattered. Her joy mattered. Her dreams mattered. And she should be here celebrating today.
School's out. it's been a challenge, but also a year of relationships. got to know my students and their families at a deeper level. got to work more closely with my colleagues as we tried to make this year as normal as possible.
I'm glad it's over, but man, I'm proud of us.
@janelleskelly Yes. I was being bullied by my coteacher. She really was a horrible person. I was losing my hair, lost 30 lbs in a month and actually considered faking being suicidal to get out of my contract. Thankfully I have a partner who 100% supported me so I could quit.
@SoyBoyManBun You don't know me, but you are in my heart today. I'm sending you healing vibes. I have missed your tweets in my feed and am glad you are back. Here's a picture to make you smile.
@margolfer@UROCKlive1@PreetBharara In Missouri and Arkansas the daily breakdown of instruction minutes: 180- ELA, 90-math, 50-science or social studies. And often those 50 minutes would be interrupted for special services.
@margolfer@UROCKlive1@PreetBharara I don't think it's that "critical thinking skills" aren't the focus. It's that it's hard to think critically when you have no context. For 20 years the focus has been on reading and writing. Science, History and Geography have been neglected in elem grades.
@NicholasFerroni I once kept a mood journal where I would color a square in a grid certain colors for different moods in the morning and then again at night. I realized that my job was the source of my anxiety and I found a new job. The visuals really helped me.
