@RicciGeri @ofctimallen When we let go of the anger, bitterness & unforgiveness we remove the chains that enslave us. Those emotions destroy our bodies, minds & souls. Vengeance is for the Lord. He is the Only One righteous & just. I'd much rather my enemy come to a saving faith in Christ, so I pray.

@weave_bj @ofctimallen yes. When I pray for that person's salvation. we step out in obedience, He meets us and does so much more. When I am in His Word. "help me see others through Your eyes" "bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ" "pray for enemies" I can't do that without Him.

@Siela_Rose @ofctimallen an ex. Judas. Jesus knew Judas was the disciple that would betray Him. Yet Judas was with the 11 & Jesus the whole time & not one of them discerned any different attitude from Jesus toward Judas Proof: None was able to guess the betrayer when Jesus said 1 will betray me

@Siela_Rose @ofctimallen He is God incarnate. At any point He could have called for the legions and legions of angels. These men would have known He was God. But He didn't. He didn't use His power for Himself ever, He used it for Gods glory to build His kingdom in His Will.

He doesn't refine the wicked hearts....He knows who will accept His call and He knows what it will take to cause that person to finally call out and repent & believe. ....well I hope you are not one that will be there.

@LADYLIBERTeee @ofctimallen You see him through Jesus' eyes and pray for him. He is broken so he hurts others. I know its hard. But what it does is free you...anger, bitterness & unforgiveness tears our physical, spiritual & mental wellbeing apart. Jesus knows that. give it to Him and ask Him to help

@SDFjetgal @ofctimallen try praying for him instead. praying for the man's salvation. I can't forgive unless I ask God for help and He always helps me when I pray for them....just as Jesus said, but I say, "love your enemies and pray for them." Otherwise I am imprisoned with anger & bitterness

@Siela_Rose @ofctimallen it isn't. Jesus is the example. He never complained about His severe torture, He never cursed the people nailing Him to the cross, He asked the Father to forgive them...while they were killing Him. Steven was the exact same. All the apostles suffered and forgave.

At which point during any part of His severe torture & crucifixion did Jesus complain, insult or call out to the legions upon legions of angels that would have immediately destroyed the people? He never used His power for His Own personal needs
