@RobinPoedev Frieren is a fantastic show. Excellent pacing and really committed to its world and characters. The slow burn of the journey makes the intense moments hit hard. It really only gets better!
The 2.0 update for Somniata is out! This new version includes updated visuals and overhauls of core gameplay mechanics. Check it out if you are in the mood for a short horror game for Halloween.

@charith_nr "You'll create solitaire clones all your life" is a really weird take considering many small, focused titles can be huge successes i.e vampire survivors and balatro. You can absolutely make your big game first, but you should also have small things too so you can learn to ship.
@charith_nr Shipping a game is a necessary skill set of its own that needs to be learned and developed just like any other aspect of gamedev. Ignoring it will only create problems further down the line.
@DevSpacePrez For day 1 yes, but the Prepare to Die edition of DS1 brought that sentiment in full. After the DLC Dark Souls really had made its first break into the mainstream gaming community, for better or worse.
@witchyglitch I use the realistic leveling mod, which passively level-ups your attributes as you increase your skills. It just removes the hassle of timing and tracking entirely
