I just have to have patience and express kindness. And I do. But I'm not going to get abused and ignore their shitty distracting behavior.

And you know, when I do see something click with them and realize that this tool means power, then they get it and they actually get me.

What I try to do is to empower them with creative tools of communicating - hoping they might feel more comfortable sharing that way.

But those real young college students, man. Like, maybe I should teach a class on communicating and expressing feelings.
