@JeremyECrawford@mikemearls @Dan_Dillon_1 is the intent that the poisons in the DMG can be applied to 3 pieces of ammunition like the basic poison in the PHB?
@Aktherion @PanicNotDnD @JeremyECrawford Ahh...quite right. I was working with a pre-errata spell description. They are now explicitly noted to have the creature type construct.
@PanicNotDnD @JeremyECrawford It would say it is vulnerable to certain damage types if it were. The simulacrum uses the statistics of the creature it duplicates except where noted. This includes creature type so dominate person could work on it if it were a humanoid.
@JeremyECrawford@mikemearls The shatter spell doesn’t specifically say it can be heard outside the area of effect, however, the text seems like it emits a loudly audible sound. I ruled that it is heard since bombs also don’t say you can hear them. How would you rule as DM?
@JeremyECrawford@mikemearls Beastmaster animal companion lists specific commands that require your action. Can you command the companion to complete other specific actions for free since not listed as an action for you? Example: have them ready action to attack your target?
@armando_doval@JeremyECrawford@mikemearls And what about when five PCs surround and enemy and one doesn’t have sentinel? You’re telling me luck of the draw that the enemy attacks the one who doesn’t have sentinel is fine but the poor little guy shouldn’t be punished for hitting one who does? Idiotic, seriously.
@JeremyECrawford@mikemearls Are we correctly interpreting the third part of sentinel to say that if the target of the triggering attack also has sentinel then this part of the feat cannot be used? If so, that makes no sense to me. Why create this restriction?
@armando_doval@JeremyECrawford@mikemearls Or consider two 14th level storm sorcerers next to an enemy. Should they not benefit from their reaction granted by storm’s fury just because both have it? There are several easy to find examples of this sort of thing.
@armando_doval@JeremyECrawford@mikemearls By that logic I shouldn’t let Armor of Agathys work if the two PCs next to a creature have the spell up. If you’re thinking that makes no sense why that shouldnt work then you’ve discovered my problem with this sentinel clause and that’s why I ignore it at my table.
@iiCapnMama @NerdPyle @warroom It doesn’t have 10k likes because the word he was looking for was anus, not rectum. No, he did not mean to insinuate that this moronic protestor was inserting the razor into himself either; he just used the wrong word.
@JeremyECrawford@armando_doval@GrumpyPistachio Or, if I’m in melee with a creature and kill it, with my first attack, I can move to another creature 40’ away and stare at it with no way to use my extra attack. Just another way these feature will likely under deliver.
@JeremyECrawford@armando_doval@GrumpyPistachio This indicates that if I move 30’, attack and kill a creature, I cannot move 10’ and attack another creature. Instead, for me to get my extra 10’ there I have to waste my extra attack so that my attack action is over and I can move. Great.
@JeremyECrawford@armando_doval@GrumpyPistachio Kinda makes that whole “flourish” thing just seem more like a clunky thing when you run into situations requiring you to forego additional attacks just so you can move a little more.
