I'm Keval, a Chartered Accountant.
I use AI to automate the painful parts of CA work: reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, data entry, PDFs. No coding background.
Here I share:
- AI prompts for accountants
- GST, audit & Excel tips
- Indian markets explained simply
Follow along.
Never paste these into ChatGPT, Claude or any AI tool:
- Client PAN / Aadhaar
- Bank account numbers
- Client names with their financials
- Login credentials
Mask first: "Client A", rounded numbers.
AI should make you faster, not cause a data breach.
@BMTheEquityDesk A roadshow can explain policy, but it can't change why FIIs are selling like valuations, earnings growth and returns elsewhere. Only earnings growth is in India's hands. And telling foreign money we want to stop it leaving makes it more hesitant to come in.
@dmuthuk Agree on milestones. A 2047 goal needs interim numbers, published on a fixed schedule with fixed definitions, so a miss shows up while there's still time to fix it. And the demographic dividend only pays off if working-age people have jobs.
Key lessons:
- You're not forced to sell at the floor price
- Collective bidding can push the price up
- Read the letter of offer and note the dates

A company you hold announces delisting.
What happens to your shares? Do you have to sell? At what price?
The full process in plain language 🧵
(Not investment advice, just how it works.)
Didn't tender? After a successful delisting, remaining shareholders usually get an exit window (around a year) to sell at the final price.
After that, selling unlisted shares gets much harder.
Use Power Query
Copy-pasting 12 bank statements into one sheet? Stop.
Excel > Data > Get Data > From Folder.
Put all files in one folder and Power Query combines them. Next month, drop in the new file and click Refresh.
Hours saved every month.
My ledger scrutiny prompt:
"Flag in this ledger (dummy data):
1. Round-sum entries
2. Sunday/holiday entries
3. Same amount twice in 7 days
4. Cash above Rs 10,000
5. Blank or vague narrations
Output a table with reasons."
It won't replace judgement. It shows where to look.
5 numbers to check in a mutual fund factsheet:
1. Expense ratio: you pay it, win or lose
2. Top 10 holdings %: concentration
3. Turnover: how often it trades
4. Cash %: money not yet invested
5. AUM: size of the fund
Most people only check past returns.
Not investment advice.
CAs and accountants:
If you could automate ONE task tomorrow, what would it be?
- Bank reconciliation
- GST reconciliation
- Ledger scrutiny
- Data entry into Tally
- Something else (reply)
I'm building solutions for the most common answers.
Why GSTR-2B never matches your books:
1. Supplier filed GSTR-1 late
2. Invoice number format differs
3. Wrong GSTIN entered by supplier
4. Booked in a different month
5. Amendments not tracked
6. RCM entries
Most mismatches are because of timing or format issues.
I'll keep sharing how I use AI in CA work, including tools I've built without a coding background.
Follow along if that's useful. Repost to help another CA.
