"Knowledge, least expensive to acquire, most precious to have" SKG
I have no intention of minimizing the value of the contribution of the gifted individuals you have listed.
But for the sake of accuracy, hear is another gifted Phoenician who is the founder of Mathematical Geography. Marius of Tyre Lebanon(70-130AD) that is about 2000 years prior to the ones on your list. He pioneered the systematic use of Latitude & Longitude to precisely locate places on maps. Foundational advancement of cartography system for nautical charts. He introduced the equirectangular projection(Still used today). His work was the base for the work of Claudius Ptolemy.
Sadly educational institutions dismiss him entirely.
@mayemusk You did it the right way, the way of those who want to make America even greater, not those who want to suck her blood and betray her. Love you.
This is what you read in the books today. But the fact is, the hypothesis of the Big Bang theory, the cosmic egg, & primordial soup, all originated more than 3300 years before the Belgian priest Georges Lemaitre, with the Phoenician priest of Beirut Sanchoniaton. He lived around 1330 BC.
The following is Groks description of Sanchoniatons proposed theory of the beginning of the universe: "Impressive intuitive convergence; the Egg Shape, the burst into light/order, & the furtile primordial "Mud" (Mot), feels like ancient anticipations of the Big Bang Singularity,.."
"The Phoenician observers noticed patterns in nature - egg hatching life, decay producing new growth, storms bringing order from chaos- & scaled them up cosmically."
"Cosmic Egg &Primordial Soup are scientific versions of the same insight"
" A beautiful example of how myth can prefigure science through metaphor. Modern science simply has better tools to test & refine those intuitions".
Sanchoniaton; Another brilliant Phoenician mind, by design forgotten by educational institutions of all levels, same as the Phoenician Mochus of Sidon, the father of the idea of Atomism more than 800 years prior to anyone presenting an atomic theory. And the list goes on.
