There’s this family in Orleans (eastern Ottawa suburb) who’ve spent the last 26 years going all out on a fundraising haunted house for Halloween. They’ve raised over $100,000 for @CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario). My grown kids remember going to it, my grandson too.

Neighbours complained to @OttawaBylaw and now it’s all over.

Albuquerque police responded to a trespassing call and found Robert Salas (35), who had a lengthy violent criminal record including child rape, holding a large knife.

A lady cop drew her Smith & Wesson M&P9 2.0 wearing a Streamlight TLR-1 HL weapon light and Aimpoint ACRO P2 red dot optic and told Mr. Salas to drop his knife 🔪

The lady cop did a good job of creating space (firearms are distance tools...) when Mr. Salas charged her which signaled to her that it was time for an impromptu 9mm JHP ballistics test and she conducted it on his torso.

The test was successful and Mr. Salas died on the scene saving taxpayers millions of dollars.

Gun owner in Charlotte opens fire on a man who broke into his family's home causing the criminal to flee and his family to remain safe from whatever the criminal had planned.

Based on what he said and the hole in the wall - he was likely using a handgun and likely missed.

The presence of the gun was the deciding factor that kept them safe, but as I often say in my videos, every gunfight is open division and you can use whatever gun setup you want. For home defense, *almost everyone* would benefit from a long gun in this scenario both ballistically and in terms of probability of getting hits on a moving threat.

You are your own first responder; arm yourselves accordingly....
