Thread on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United. I usually always try to put everything I’m thinking into one tweet, but this one is going to need a few more😂 #MUFC
GNev’s bombardment of Sesko in recent games has been a disgrace. Scholes/Butt raised valid concerns over Licha in the worst manner possible. Keano’s comments have been a poison to the club since the day he sat in a pundits chair eg. treatment of Maguire. #MUFC
This civil war between United and the ex-player media class has been long overdue. The demands of playing for this club in the current day is enough without the heaps of pressure they pile on top. The game isn’t like the Fergie days anymore and the team will never be without time
@EBL2017 Fine you don’t want to give any ground away, but you do yourself a massive disservice in not allowing at all for lack of execution, especially in the final third. Isolated moments, outside the realms of systems, where top quality players can’t execute in the final third, again.
@Jah82196@htomufc You’re right but it’s less about the factual and more about the emotional. The inability to follow a solid performance with another one. Everyone knows where that season goes basically…
@Babs_SP @ronaldobrown_98 Equally we probably would’ve ended up bottom half in Ten Hag’s first season had he not completely abandoned his style of play after 3 games.
People blame ‘system football’ on not having any long range goals anymore but have you seen how many shots from 20-30yds are blazed over the bar nowadays…
@RiddyMuppetiers What makes you think this guy will be any different though? Or is GK really just as simple as keep signing/firing them until one sticks? Club is an absolute graveyard.
Must be one of the only ones relatively fine with £40m for Garnacho. I just don’t get him. A player that genuinely made me question whether he was basing final third decision making off the impact to his image. Hugely lowered ceiling with no turn of pace over 5yds.
Yet to see anyone cover the angle of: United fans and the media have again sapped all good feeling out of the club within the space of a week and the players are playing frightened… again.
I’ve been a big supporter of Amorim but this is beyond unacceptable. No Manchester United manager should be able to walk away from this kind of performance unscathed regardless of the full-time result.
@AdamMcKola That’s the entire point though. Other clubs would but WE wouldn’t. If the project is a long-term rebuild to this system he’s not who we would or should be targeting. Baleba is!
@ronaldobrown_98 The point remains though. A fanbase pleading for a long term project rebuild and clear style of play can’t stomach some bad results and difficult decisions. The same old story. Kobbie is an excellent player, but no player should determine the direction of travel.
United Fans - Desperate for a long-term project rebuild with a clear, defined style of play but can’t stomach a period of bad results or difficult decisions - Episode #1489
@jackf1904 Twelve years has taught us it’s less about manager and player personnel than it is about confidence, belief, mindset, togetherness etc. He’s the best shot we have at it. Is the same reason why Ole has been the most successful at it so far.
@StevenDonovan02 @SPepero90 @htomufc Wasn’t the time to lose your talisman and leader at the stage we’re at. Notable improvements in squad togetherness would’ve been decimated by selling him. Next summer could make sense.
@htomufc You’re right and the midfield is a huge limiting factor for how well we can do this season for me. Think most of the pieces are there to be a ‘decent’ side except for that.
