@ihyhero Save your money. Spend it on good food and enjoy the real world instead. Or try it and refund it if you come to the same conclusion.
Most people promoting it just want more players to boost the game's low player count.
@SkYYBlue62@remakerid As long as they can keep pushing sales, I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually go F2P once they've reached their one-time money grab target, even if it causes backlash from those who bought the game early.
@remakerid@popmanbrad Sadly, these games had and have real potential. A poorly managed studio and a CEO who leaves a lot to be desired only damaged that potential and pushed the community away too many times.
@remakerid@popmanbrad It doesn't matter. They're a business, not friends. It's the same trend of shipping unfinished games. You had to be there since Portal Wars. Same bugs, mistakes, SGAR recycled with new mechanics. After layoffs & wasted money, they rushed EA & switched to P2P to secure cash 1st.
@Shotslol@Born2beSlicker They had to fire the CEO or sell Splitgate 1 to another studio already long time ago to give it a chance.
There's too much favouritism toward close friends, creators, and too much hypocrisy. All the ass-kissing does nothing for the way the community was treated.
@FulgurG8ming @FPS_G33KS The core community is mostly dominated by creators whose content revolves around promoting the game, and this fact on X should be clearly visible. That naturally raises questions about bias when judging the game's current state.
@FulgurG8ming @FPS_G33KS 5. One AA adjustment won't end the balance discussion.
Steam reviews are one data point. Long-term player retention will tell the bigger story.
@gamespark It seems by many random posts in the feed that the Japanese gaming community may not be enough informed about 1047 Games controversies and their lack of reliability.
@GeneyBottles@JakeSucky Yeah! Marketing brainwash! At this point it seems 1047 Games is investing a lot on this advertiser for consistently posting any bs about their game.
@PlayEmpulse Instead of giving people more reasons to stay, you're paying people to bring in new buyers.
That says more about the game's current priorities than you probably intended.
@SkulTF Fully agree π― self respect. However I don't think this is a big game, but more a recicled game used to desperately collect money after consecutive flops. Yet another failure. Would be nice to change things by stopping the blind support.
@Eluzify@PlayEmpulse That is the bug indeed. Not to mention the advertised 250K wishlisted. Maybe removing the last two zeros, 2.5K without console.
It's not a public data so they can play with numbers.
@AstroBarney5@PlayEmpulse That's exactly the point.
Some people finally understand the trick: they didn't change the formula, only the way they monetize it.
A one-time cash grab + β»οΈ SGAR.
Whatever happens next, they already won. Ppl will keep arguing about issues while the money is already in the bank.
@Calistrix@akvvo If you've not been a SG1 player and not familiar with this studio and their small circle of sell-out creators, I'd suggested to save your money, get some good meal or anything for 20$. If they will tune it a little bit, it's just to handle their fear of dropping sales on day 1.
