@JohnnyRivers33@Teoyaomiquu Because the truth is we live in such a divided country where we both live in two separate worlds effected by our respect echo chambers while we may disagree I’m glad you took the time to talk with me regardless of if you agree and I’m glad we are not taking this personally
@JohnnyRivers33@Teoyaomiquu What you’re referencing is a deal signed by trump during 2017 with Justin Trudeau and the tariffs only activate if we send too much butter to their country which has to my knowledge never happened because we are smart and don’t send an extreme amount
@JohnnyRivers33@Teoyaomiquu I think paying off the debt is a good thing but this does nothing to help his goal, and only hurts ordinary citizens and the economy and if a crash does happen (which is likely) it seems to be trumps fault do in part I don’t like trump but like any president I wish him the best
@JohnnyRivers33@Teoyaomiquu One could argue that, but the stock market plummeting is due in part to placing tariffs and pausing tariffs and placing tariffs and pausing tariffs which is his fault, the volatility itself is the price we pay for living in a capitalist society which is not bad of course!
@JohnnyRivers33@Teoyaomiquu However I do not think all tariffs are bad generally speaking we want to protect our important industries ofc! But placing tariffs on the cost of ordinary goods has been proved to be ineffective
