Last Thursday night #rtept focussed on the killing of Jamey Carney with an interview with a relative, followed by an interview conducted by Miriam O'Callaghan with Sarah Benson of Women's Aid, and a Garda.
There were so many questions for the Department of Justice, not least why the suspect in an international manhunt couldn't be named, but also on vetting asylum seekers, and also two femicides by non-Irish in the space of two days, surely the Minister for Justice should have been on the programme to explain and re-assure.
It's almost like the €244,797 Queen Bee at #rtept is the sister of the justice minister.

Important and powerful piece about the west’s complicity with atrocities in Gaza and our “moral collapse” in the face of unimaginable horror. “We find ourselves in an unprecedented situation. Never before have so many witnessed an industrial-scale slaughter in real time.” https://t.co/B3v7XGxxyk

Today is the first day of SIDS awareness month & 6 months today since Cillian left this world. The grief of losing a child is unbearable at times. I want to help spread awareness of SIDS as it was something I was never aware of nor should it be something a parent has to deal with
I've always wanted to have some 'personal news' on here...I'm launching my first collection of short stories at the @WildWordsMayo festival on Saturday week. Even if my launch isn't for you, check out the full programme for this wonderful festival.

Today was the last day of Cycle Safety for 6th class and also the last time Gerry Butler took the children before retirement. Over the past number of years he has not only taught cycle safety but has got many children started in cycling. Massive thanks from all at Scoil Iosa 🙏👏
The embedded nature of gambling in the way we consume football is alarming. LiveScore is owned by 2 gambling firms, no doubt it will use free UCL coverage to drive that business. Between that & relentless ads during games, shirt sponsorships etc it needs regulation
If young women are most at risk of cvst blood clots, can they not get an mRNA vaccine, while AZ / J&J vaccines are given to men & older women? 13 months into the longest harshest lockdown anywhere we need more than “abundance of caution” and “the next six weeks are critical”
