There is no system where everyone can have all the healthcare they want.

There are a limited number of doctors. There are a limited number of organs. There is a limited amount of energy to build hospitals and power HVAC systems and pharmaceutical production lines. There is a limited amount of oil to make the plastic for syringes, gloves, IV bags, and so on. There is a limited amount of money to pay for all of this.

In every system, someone has to make life-or-death decisions about who gets healthcare and who doesn't. It might be the government, it might be insurance companies, it might be the free market.

But deciding how to prioritize the distribution of limited, life-saving resources isn't "social murder". Those difficult decisions are just the reality of living in a world without infinite resources.

If you don't like rationing heathcare, then we need robot surgeons and AI doctors who are as reliable as humans. We need abundant energy to build power the machines that save people's lives. We need more pharmaceutical companies with bigger factories to make more life-saving medicine. And we need more billionaires - people to build the companies that create this abundance and pay the taxes that help hold the whole system together.

If you want to charge anyone with "social murder", point the finger at degrowthers who insist on dividing the current pie instead of growing it to save lives.
