English Teacher-I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult. -EW
Thirteen years ago, my administration acted to protect young people who were American in every single way but one: on paper.
DACA was an example of how we can be a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws. And it’s an example worth remembering today, when families with similar backgrounds who just want to live, work, and support their communities, are being demonized and treated as enemies.
We can fix our broken immigration system while still recognizing our common humanity and treating each other with dignity and respect. In fact, it’s the only way we ever will.
When Roe was overturned and women bled out in ERs, we heard “states’ rights. When guns became the #1 killer of kids, still “states’ rights.” But one protest against injustice? Suddenly there’s federal boots on the ground. They don’t panic when people die, only when they speak.
If you’re cheering on federal overreach because it’s targeting “them” and not you, here’s your reminder:
You’re not immune.
You’re not special.
You’re next.
So Elon goes "Kill the Bill!" and Trump goes "Elon has TDS!" so Elon goes "I'm the reason Trump won!" so Trump goes "we waste billions on Elon!" so Elon goes "Epstein!" and a flunkie goes "Deport!" and Elon goes "Impeach!"
And THAT'S why women are too emotional to be President.
BEST OPENING LINE TO A STORY THIS YEAR:
"Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s alliance took off like one of SpaceX’s rockets. It was supercharged and soared high. And then it blew up."
Bravo, @APNews.
10/10, no notes.
btw this is why I feel bad for my friends who don’t care about politics. this is 300% more fun because i’ve followed it from the start. this is the most fun i’ve had in years
Billionaires have taken over our federal government.
Meanwhile, people are paying more for gasoline, housing, and groceries.
Every single Republican who voted to raise costs for families to finance tax giveaways for billionaires must be held accountable at the ballot box.
Dear @elonmusk,
The really BIG BOMB would be revealing HOW you helped Donald Trump get elected and the SYSTEMS that were put in place to accomplish it.
You have an extraordinary, once in a lifetime moment here.
Two immediate problems:
First, this shows the conflict of interest in Elon getting the contracts to begin with.
Second, cancelling them underscores just how much Trump awards contracts based on the support he gets — not public safety or anything else in the public interest.
