A LETTER TO @BurnleyOfficial
Dear Burnley Football Club, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Amaka Christabel, and I am a lifelong Manchester United supporter writing to you with a heavy heart and a very unusual request.
This is a desperate Plea from a Manchester United Fan, Please Beat Manchester City TODAY!
As you know, Arsenal have been suffering terribly in recent weeks. They've dropped points at crucial moments, and the title race is slipping away from them. As a United fan, it pains me to say this… but right now, I am begging you to do everything possible to beat Manchester City when you host them at Turf Moor on today, 22 April 2026. I don’t care how you do it.
Scrap it out. Win 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, anyhow.
I won’t mind if you pick up double red cards along the way.
Just win. Take all three points and hand them to Arsenal’s cause. If the task proves too much and City are simply unstoppable on this day, then please, at the very least, share the points and give us a hard-fought draw. Every point you take from them helps Arsenal breathe a little easier. I know this is an odd letter coming from a United fan, but football is bigger than rivalries sometimes. Arsenal have fought so hard this season, and they deserve a fighting chance at the title. Burnley, you’ve always been a tough, no-nonsense side, exactly the kind of team that can spoil City’s party.
Thank you for reading this. Whatever happens on today, I’ll be cheering for you. just this once!. Up the Clarets, for one night only.
ChiFX.
Proud Manchester United supporter
24th January 2022. A day I can never forget.
I went to eat at Buka Hut at gbagada, just to treat myself and have a good day.
Halfway through, my PERIOD came unexpectedly… and I had no pad, no backup, nothing.
I didn’t even know.
After eating, I decided to get ice Cream, because why not spoil myself a little more?
As I stood up, I noticed people staring… but I didn’t understand why. It wasn’t until I got to the ice cream stand that a guy walked up to me quietly and said: “Excuse me… your backside is stained. Please, take my jacket to cover up.”
In that moment, I wanted the ground to open and swallow me. But his kindness… it calmed me.
No noise. No embarrassment. Just respect.
He gave me his jacket, wrapped it around me, and even offered to order me an Uber home.
I insisted on paying, but honestly, I was just grateful someone chose kindness over ridicule.
I asked how I’d return his jacket. He smiled and said, “Don’t worry about it.” But I took his number anyway…🥰
Today, that same man is my DARLING HUSBAND.😍
And funny enough, Buka Hut is still our favourite spot till today. ❤️
Sometimes, love doesn’t start with butterflies.🦋
Sometimes, it starts with kindness in your most vulnerable moment.✌🏼💖
