When you’re in the middle of something you can’t always see how special something is. A month later and hearing about Soundscapes and my music on Radio 4 reminded me of how proud I am about this team and our achievements, definitely a career highlight.

[Ben Crick @bencrickmusic]

@SkiptonTownHall is a really special place and fully deserving of all the awards they get. Love working there, can’t think of a better debut venue for Soundscapes and really looking forward to me, @SkiptonCamerata and @IMcMillan coming back in the Autumn

It’s tough in the arts at the minute, funding’s sketchy and you’re often having to justify your importance/value to society but when you play great music with lovely and talented people you forget all that and escape into the music. The rewards massively outweigh the struggles

[Karen Vaughan @Ilkleyviolin]

@SkiptonCamerata @SkiptonTownHall A exhilarating concert this evening - superb musicians. 🙏🏻

[Airedale Symphony Orchestra @AiredaleSO]

As the wall says, music conjures up lands that inspired it. As de Falla’s music conjures up Granada his fellow Spaniard Rodrigo’s music takes us to the orange groves of Valencia, impressive enough but more so as Rodrigo was blind. Come see the view next Friday @SkiptonTownHall

[Skipton Town Hall @SkiptonTownHall]

Join our #Orchestra in Residence @SkiptonCamerata on Friday 21 June for a special summer 20th Anniversary Gala Concert!

Hopefully conductor @bencrickmusic will bring some of that blue sky and sunshine back with him! ☀️

Concerto de orange juice by Rodrigo, made famous by Tara’s miming in Brassed Off but it more orange trees and tapas than flat caps really. I’m working on it today in Spain but I’m back a week tomorrow to perform it with ⁦@SkiptonCamerata⁩ at ⁦@SkiptonTownHall⁩

[Ben Crick @bencrickmusic]

20 years, we’ve been doing this 20 years! And this gig will mark the anniversary, come join us, it’ll be great
