A YouTube shorts of Hyeyoon is currently gaining attention, reaching over 4M views just four days after its release.

OP shared Hyeyoon’s journey, from failing 100 auditions to now leading films. 🥹

• An extra without even a name
• She got frostbite and her nails fell off. On a cold dawn, at an outdoor filming set.
• It was a minor role with no lines. That went on for 7 years.
• She took over 100 auditions. Failed all 100.
• “Because you’re short, you’re not lead-material.”
• She even heard curses that couldn’t be broadcast.
• She waited 9 hours, but the shoot got canceled.
• There were times she stayed on standby all night, 24 hours.
• She didn’t have an agency.
• She went to filming sites alone by bus and subway.
• She wondered if she might never become an actress. So she thought she should at least earn her degree.
• At Konkuk University, she received scholarships every semester. She graduated on time without taking a leave of absence.
• While enduring like that, she got an audition for SKY Castle. The competition was 200:1. She made it through.
• For the role (The Girl on a Bulldozer), she even learned to operate heavy equipment.
• She practiced every day for a short scene pumping. (Ditto arcade scene)
• The writer of Lovely Runner saw these performances and became convinced: “An actress who can draw out pain even while appearing bright.”
• Began writing the character Im Sol with Hyeyoon in mind. And it became a global phenomenon.
• Seven years of enduring, even losing her nails.
• Now she leads films, a horror queen.
