Hi, I'm Alan!
π€I love Toys & Games, so I started to design them!π«
βHere you'll find my Design Journeys via C.A.S (Coffee Assisted Shenanigans)β
-Mimic Monday Week 2: Christmas Cracker Jack-
Christmas Cracker Jack loves to have a cracking time. Sometime full of treats or nasty surprises, whatever it may be you'll definetly hear something SNAP!!
-Mimic Monday Week 1: Coffee Cup Joe-
Coffee Cup Joe is a strange one, even for Mimic standards. At times he seems calm and relaxed only to burst out in a hyperactive state and then... crash a few moments later, must be the influence of its Coffee Cup form.
Each Mimic will be of toy design focus and will primarily look at the form with early ideas of gimmicks as well as minor engineering with the target market as the primary focal point.
Each week I will choose an item we come across from our day to day lives as the base of the Mimic and will develop a concept a day. This week we are one short as I had this idea on Tuesday but that wont stop "Coffee Cup Joe".
Today marks the first of "Mimic Monday". This is an exercise I have taken upon myself to explore, practise and define my sketching and idea generation skills.
[WORK IN PROGRESS]
Engineering is now complete, I may revisit it if I feel it be necessary or if there is a demand from user feedback.
Next up is adding detail to the the model. π
I may make a "Pre War" Version while I have it in this state, it wouldn't fit the game as it is set Post War but it would be a nice visual representation of a iconic location before the Great War. π
I've been working on the engineering side of the New Vegas sign, trying to find the balance of ease (and enjoyment) of building the kit as well as reducing unwanted artifacts from the 3D Printing process. π
@RobertAnim8er I get that, sometimes I go full 180 and hate presenting finished work, ill be like "This could be better, i'll perfect a bit more." π
@cardiffmetlearn Hello. I've had issues today in logging into my Met account and emails. My student email is no longer reconised by your system and I have missed my first lecture because of this. I've been on the IT help line for an hour and nothing.
