@DemzDeliver People that CAN pay their medical bills aren't....even nurses. They tell me there's no reason for them to pay it since it never goes on their credit report.
@GovWhitmer@unduemeddebt The amount of people that tell me they don't pay their medical bills because "they don't have to" is astonishing to me. And they can afford to. Another reason healthcare costs skyrocket.
If you’re visiting for a very large sporting event & you happen to discover RANCH while you’re here… pls pack it in your CHECKED BAG on the way home.
Thank you.
It's a legal monopoly making billions in profit, yet DTE is not paying any federal income tax and hasn't in more than a decade. https://t.co/jjoJ0F7uzV
I read this and thought...what in THE hell does that mean?? So, I looked it up:
Workplace Accommodations: Mandates the Washington State Women’s Commission to collaborate with state cabinet agencies to implement common-sense accommodations. These include telework/work-from-home options, flexible dress codes, and easier access to temperature controls and cold water.
Statewide Guidance: Directs the Women's Commission to partner with the Department of Health, the Health Care Authority, and the Bree Collaborative. Together, they will create practical training and guidance materials regarding menopause rights and responsibilities for both public and private employers.
Healthcare Education: Tasks the relevant state bodies with working alongside medical boards to offer training credits on menopause education for healthcare providers, ensuring better diagnosis and care.
Employee Training: Requires the Commission to ensure both agency management and staff are trained on the rights and resources available to them.
Legal Framework: The executive order invokes the WLAD, which mandates workplace accommodations for medically cognizable conditions. Under Washington administrative code (WAC 162-32), the WLAD explicitly protects individuals based on gender expression and gender identity.
Medical Inclusion: The directive targets the physiological symptoms of the menopausal transition (such as hot flashes, insomnia, and brain fog). This applies to any state employee experiencing these biological symptoms, including transgender men or non-binary individuals who undergo menopause.
Transgender Women: While transgender women do not undergo biological menopause, they often manage hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and can experience highly similar symptoms—such as severe hot flashes or mood changes—due to hormone fluctuations or adjustments. Under Washington's broad discrimination and accommodation laws, employees experiencing these types of medically verifiable symptoms are eligible to request the same reasonable workplace accommodations.
@KarenBassLA@SamuelLJackson I remember when people told me they were still voting for Kwame Kilpatrick even though he was a known criminal…solely because of the color of his skin rather than the content of his character.
