2019 december 28: netflix posts the first of four ‘the swoon’ videos featuring son yejin and hyun bin. as of this writing, the collective views of all 4 videos total over a whooping 33M

in these videos, both appear to be very comfortable to each other, showing a level of chemistry that, again, has people speculating about the real status of their relationship. several comments on the video can’t help but gush about their chemistry, with some even saying that their chemistry is strong enough to power the entire north korea

2019 august-september: filming for ‘cloy’ is well underway. meanwhile, hyun bin graces the cover of esquire korea for the september 2019, issue, where he is quoted as saying the following swoon-worthy statement about son yejin:

“there are times when I feel great charm and thrill from seeing the actor opposite me show unexpected acting. there’s also a thrill to my own reaction to that acting. while filming ‘the negotiation,’ I saw that in son yejin, so I thought, ‘I want to try working with her again.’ at the time, [we had filmed separately], so I wanted to try acting with her in the same space, making eye contact, and breathing the same air, and that opportunity came quickly”

2019 january: it’s a new year, and son yejin travels to the united states for a holiday. 2 days before her birthday, an anonymous source claims to have seen her having dinner with hyun bin, together with her parents. this leads to a dating rumour (notably, the first for son yejin), which vast denies

2 weeks later, another source suddenly posts photos of them at a grocery store in the united states, igniting stronger dating rumours across the globe, which both their agencies are quick to deny, saying they’re just friends who coincidentally met in the usa

(a/n: yes because it’s absolutely normal for friends to randomly “bump” into each other in a foreign land and then go grocery shopping together, right??)
