@IndianTechGuide Actually it has surpassed Singapore long time ago bcoz we should consider currency exchange rate in terms of PPP as that's the standard and not by nominal GDP. Maharashtra is at 2 trillion dollars GDP and SG is at 900 billion dollars.

@Mrsinha Yes it's shameful that for last 10 years all the looting on petrol prices happened with ₹50 per liter of taxes and duties compared to what Congress was charging only ₹10 per litre. Last week taxes and duties on petrol of only Rs 20 has been removed. Stil Rs 20 is left.

@BJP4India This is the Joke of the decade, you have levied Rs 50 charges on Fuel for last 12 years by selling petrol and diesel both at ₹100+.
Now the crude prices have increased so you are removing those taxes and duties. Before 2014, those charges were even less than what it is now.

@BJP4India Excise duty & VAT after 2014 were increased by several folds by BJP. in fact the petrol prices should have been just 60₹ in these 12 years. This money was used for last 10 years for social welfare schemes. So BJP has now reduced the taxes since crude oil price has increased.
