So far, 52,783 ballots have been returned from 3,278,555 requests. Here’s the party breakdown so far:

Republican: 24,898 (2.1% return rate)
Democratic: 17,105 (1.6% return rate)
Independent/Other: 10,780 (1.0% return rate)

This return volume is lower than what we saw at the same point in 2020 and 2022. Some delays may be due to county offices reportedly being inundated with new voter registrations, which may be slowing the processing and release of early returns.

2024 GOP: 23.1%
2024 IND: 33.0%

As we kick off this crucial week in the 2024 primary cycle, let's see where Maricopa County stands with 15 days until the election:

- GOP ballots: 706,159 requested, 91,663 returned (13.0% return rate)

- DEM ballots: 635,686 requested, 81,047 returned (12.7% return rate)

In Maricopa county, Dems are still under their return rate compared to this point in the 2020 and 2022 elections, while the GOP is under 2020 but above 2022 numbers.
