Referee Hounnake-Kouassi of Togo brandishes a yellow card to Samuel Okwaraji in the 71st minute of Nigeria’s 1990 World Cup qualifier against Angola in Lagos on August 12, 1989.

Six minutes later, in the 77th minute, Sam collapsed and died on the pitch.

MALI, BURKINA FASO, NIGER: AFRICA IS TAKING BACK HER JUSTICE.

They called it rebellion. We call it restoration.

At the Niamey summit, the Sahel alliance. Mali 🇲🇱 , Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 , and Niger 🇳🇪 declared their intent to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC). Why? Because the ICC has become a courtroom for the powerful, and a cage for the African.

📌 They say the ICC is blind. But it sees Africa clearly every time.
📌 They say it’s fair. But it never tries the West.
📌 They say it’s global. But its grip is colonial.

Instead, the Sahel nations are building their own: ⚖️ The Sahelian Criminal Court for Human Rights (CPS-DH) a court by Africans, for Africans, to prosecute terrorism, war crimes, and injustice on our terms.

Take Step Africa says: This is not isolation. This is liberation. This is not defiance. This is dignity. This is not retreat. This is return to African sovereignty.

✊🏿 From Kinshasa to Ouagadougou, from Pretoria to Bamako let the continent rise. Let justice wear African skin. Let the gavel echo in our own languages.
