A high-powered US delegation led by US Vice President H.E. J.D. Vance along with Special Envoy Mr. Steve Witkoff and Mr. Jared Kushner arrived in Islamabad today to participate in Islamabad Talks.
The US delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi upon arrival.
Welcoming the US Vice President, the DPM/FM commended US commitment to achieving lasting regional and global peace and stability. DPM/FM expressed the hope that parties would engage constructively, and reiterated Pakistanโs desire to continue facilitating the parties towards reaching lasting and durable solution to the conflict.

Yesterday, ten Indian nationals were indicted by a federal grand jury in Boston in connection with a conspiracy to carry out staged armed robberies of convenience stores for the purpose of allowing store clerks to falsely claim they were crime victims on immigration applications. The defendants were previously charged by criminal complaint in March 2026.
