VE Day 1945
My father was an Armourer in the RAF 111th Squadron and at the end of WW2 was at Rivolto in northern Italy. His 8th May diary entry was. “It is Victory in Europe Day!!! We had a celebration in the village, dance and drink. Left early it was rather crowded.”
