@sherrymerlot Hi Sherry. Please email [email protected] to see if there are any in-stock. If not, they can direct you to an alternative that might work.
@EricWindow1 Have you tried a Network Diagnostic? Go into the Controller Settings menu to initiate it. This will tell give us additional details about why the controller might be struggling to connect.
Thank you all for your patience. We have finally resolved the connectivity issues caused by the database migration. All Halo controllers should now be functional again.
@DaveBarnatron Sorry you feel that way. We are confident that Skydrop Smart Watering is the best option for saving water and encouraging plant growth.
Not sure what you mean when you say that it's crippled by it's own software.
The cloud connectivity issues *should* be resolved. We are continuing to monitoring the services to ensure stability. Thank you for your patience. Remember to visit https://t.co/jt16deULld for the latest information concerning the Skydrop services.
@DaveBarnatron An alternative would be to create a custom schedule directly on your controller through the jog-dial interface. This doesn't require connection to the cloud, but is obviously more cumbersome.
@DaveBarnatron All communication to your controller is through the cloud. If the controller listened on your local network, it would inherently increase the security risks as well as the complexity of the software on the controller.
@DaveBarnatron The cloud provides all kinds of benefits. The Skydrop Smart watering is a complex algorithm taking into account many variables to optimize your watering. If you just want something you can schedule, then you don't really want a smart controller. You want a remote.
@nuchtweets It *should* reconnect on its own, but there are instances where it it does not. Please try to start your watering through Skydrop Mobile. If it acknowledges the watering start then you controller is connected properly.
