As another man who once worked with me declares himself saddened by my beliefs on gender and sex, I thought it might be useful to compile a list for handy reference. Which of the following do you imagine makes actors and directors who aren’t involved with the HBO reboot of Harry Potter so miserable?

Is it my belief that women and girls should have their own public changing rooms and bathrooms?

That women should retain female-only rape crisis centres?

That men don’t belong in women’s sport?

That female prisoners shouldn’t be incarcerated with violent men and male sex offenders?

That women should remain a protected class in law, because they have sex-specific needs and issues?

That language should reflect reality rather than ideological jargon, especially in a medical context?

That women shouldn’t be harassed, persecuted or fired for refusing to pretend humans can change sex?

That women should not be threatened with violence and rape when they assert their rights?

That freedom of speech and belief are essential to a pluralistic democratic society?

That troubled minors, especially those who are gay, autistic and trauma-experienced, should be given mental health support instead of irreversible surgeries and drug treatments on non-existent evidence of benefit?

That gay people shouldn’t be pressured to include the opposite sex in their dating pools, nor should they be smeared as ‘genital fetishists’ when they don’t?

That cross-dressing heterosexual male fetishists aren’t actually oppressed, but having the time of their lives piggybacking off gender identity ideology?

That said ideology, and the privileged, blinkered fools pushing it because they suffer zero consequences themselves, have done more damage to the political left’s credibility than Trump and Farage could have achieved in a century?

Woman of the Day teacher and member of the Belgian Resistance Andrée Guelen died OTD in 2022, aged 100. She kept over 300 Jewish children out of the hands of the Nazis, hiding them in schools, convents, monasteries and farms and after the war, managed to reunite many with their families.

In 1942, two years after the Germans invaded and occupied Belgium, 20 year old Andrée became a teacher at a primary school in Brussels in 1942.

When a new antisemitic decree was issued - the wearing of the yellow star - her young Jewish pupils were so humiliated, they clutched their books tightly to their chests to hide them. She told all of her pupils, Jewish or not, to wear aprons over their uniforms as a show of solidarity. Within weeks, she realised some of her girls were no longer attending school and learned why. They’d been rounded up and transported to a camp en route to Auschwitz.

Andrée was Catholic but joined the secret Committee for the Defence of Jews (Comité de Défense des Juifs, or CDJ) as one of its few non-Jewish members. Her role was to contact Jewish families and quietly suggest they hand their children into the care of CDJ, which would place them under false identities with Catholic families, schools and religious institutions. “Everything was urgent. I had some addresses, and I saw it as a race between myself and the Gestapo — who would get to the family first.” Sometimes, the answer was mere hours before the parents were arrested, but she did it at great risk to herself.

Andrée then transferred to a boarding school where the headmistress, Odile Ovart, had taken in twelve “hidden children”. In May 1943, Germans soldiers raided the school at night, arrested Jewish children and interrogated teachers. Asked by one if she was ashamed to teach Jews, Andrée replied: “Aren’t you ashamed to make war on children?”

She escaped and managed to warn other Jewish pupils to stay away but the headmistress was deported to the camps and executed.

That’s when Andrée went underground, adopting a fake identity and renting an apartment with Jewish social worker Ida Sterno. From autumn 1942 until the end of the war, she whisked Jewish children away and found them safe havens with Christian families, monasteries and convents. Even when Ida was arrested in May 1944 and imprisoned, Andreé kept going.

“We told the parents to prepare a suitcase, and that we would return in a day or two… I still weep when I think of the times when I had to take children from their parents, especially children aged two to three, without being able to tell the parents where I was taking them…“to tear a child away from his mother and not tell her where we were taking him, and to have her cry and cry, ‘Tell me at least, only tell me, where you’re going to take him?’…If I’d had children then, I don’t know that I could have done it.”

The children were given Christian names but some were so young - she also saved newborns and toddlers - that on one occasion, a little girl she was taking into hiding was with her on a train when another passenger asked the child her name. The little girl asked Andrée, “Should I tell her my new name or my real name?” As luck would have it, the passenger loathed the Nazis.

Andrée kept coded records she could reunite the children with their families after the war. After WW2, she tried to find their surviving relatives, although too often there was no trace and she had to place them in orphanages.

Andrée then volunteered with a relief organisation that supported Jewish survivors of the concentration camps in Belgium. That’s how she met her future husband, a Jewish concentration camp survivor, with whom she had two children.

Andrée was recognised by the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Centre as Righteous Among the Nations in 1989, and during a visit in 2007, to Israel, granted honorary citizenship.

Any sport that calls a category Women or Girls needs to exclude all biological males to meet the Sex discrimination Act of 1975. As clarified by the SC the EA10 does not trump it. Otherwise it legally has to be called a mixed sex race/competition/team. This is not complicated

•Buying a modest home costs more in tax than anywhere else in the UK
•There’s no real family support or population policy

Your broken tax system punishes aspiration. Your childcare costs drive women out of the workforce. And your message to Scottish families is clear: We’d rather import new workers than help you have more children.

This isn’t progressive—it’s defeatist. You’ve given up on building a strong Scotland from within.

Migration can help. But you’re using it as a smokescreen for failure. Until you fix the tax system, support working families, and drive population growth from the ground up—don’t pretend this is about Scotland’s needs.

It’s about your laziness and lack of vision. Do better. Scotland deserves it.

Here are two graphs that should end the trans debate right now. The first shows that 58.9% of trans-pretending male inmates are sex offenders, vs 16.8% for normal male inmates and 3.3% of women. That’s shocking enough, but it gets worse.

The second graph shows that there are so many incarcerated trans-pretending sex offenders that if you count them as women, it skews the statistics to make it appear that incarcerated women are twice as likely to be sex offenders than male inmates.

It boggles the mind that this statistic is never discussed by mainstream news outlets.
