Just in Illinois, the House Republicans’ debt limit package would put 562,000 people at risk of losing Medicaid and take away SNAP benefits from 54,000 people if it was signed into law.
This policy is shameful.
At this point Republicans should play rock paper scissors to see who should be nominated Speaker. Best 2 out of 3 wins. Whoever wins they gotta vote for.
Today we announced that Minnesota will expand the availability of free meals to 90,000 new students this school year.
This project means fewer kids will go hungry at school. As a former teacher for 20+ years, I know that this is hugely important to help students succeed.
It’s your duty as a leader to do what’s best for your constituents. Not yourself. Not your party affiliation. What’s best for your constituents that you are suppose to be representing.
Moral of the story, we need to stop acting like we live in the same world as they did 240 some years ago. Make choices for today and for the safety of our future.

- spoke against a two party system
- were not true Christians
- practiced Deism (a belief in human reason)
-assumed the Constitution to be changed to fit the times (every 20 years)
Let me be very clear: This ruling changes nothing in Minnesota today, tomorrow, or as long as I am governor. We will not turn back the clock on reproductive rights.

The same people praising today are the same people voting against helping mothers care for their babies.
Today, SCOTUS ended the constitutional right to abortion, saying it should be left to the states.
Yesterday, SCOTUS imposed a constitutional right to concealed carry firearms, saying it shouldn’t be left to the states.
Guns have more rights than women in America.
Let the record reflect that the US Senate failed to pass the PUMP Act today, a law that would expand eligibility of pumping rights to at least 9 million mothers.
Despite lack of formula, the US Senate is making it impossible for nursing workers to make food for their babies.
The real reason gas is so high so maybe we can move on to some other things.
The increase in gas prices is happening globally not just in the US.
