@jrouldz so if anyone is spooked by todayβs NVDA news, please just ask yourself this. Do I really think that Rick Muller just somehow moseyed on over to IonQ by accident or some serendipitous event?
Now, imagine what we might not even be privy to. Then multiply by 10.
I just got lucky on that one. I held a small allocation of BTC and ETH which Iβd had for several years. Last fall, before the precipitous drop, I needed cash, didnβt want to sell any securities, so I sold off all of my crypto. Plus I was buying into the Shors crypto conspiracy theories, so it was time to bail. Serendipity.
IonQ leads with trapped-ion qubits offering better coherence/scalability potential and stronger commercial traction (cloud partnerships, acquisitions like SkyWater for vertical integration, and higher market positioning), while Rigetti focuses on superconducting qubits with its own fabrication capabilities and a hybrid quantum-classical emphasis but remains earlier-stage with higher execution risk.
2paragraphs could do a little better job. There really is no comparison.
