"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." #Ch9 #TGGwaste #TGGdream #TGGcash #TGGfake

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Despite all he's gone through, towards the end of the book Nick keeps a positive approach. "Tomorrow we will run faster..." #Ch9 #TGGdream

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Dang. What an existential ending. #Ch9 #TGGdream

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Tom & Daisy are both careless people who destroy everything in hopes that their money will protect them from whatever they face #Ch9 TGGcash

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Tom thinks Gatsby deserved to die. I didn't think I could hate Tom any more than I already did... #Ch9 #TGGfake

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

No relationship holds through the book. They all break by the end. #Ch9 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Henry Gatz says he is proud of his son, but saves a picture of his house. Is he proud of him or his money? #Ch9 #TGGcash

At least Owl Eyes is loyal... #Ch9 #TGGsymbol

Gatsbys funeral be like... too soon? #Ch9 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Reporters that came up with crazy rumors at gatsbys funeral reminded me of the crazy rumors before anyone even met gatsby. #Ch9 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

All Nick thinks about is Gatsby's final thoughts as he left the world without Daisy...so sad #Ch8 #TGGwaste :(

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

If it weren't for Tom's affair, Daisy never would have killed Myrtle. #Ch8 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

BUT HE DIDN'T DO IT #Ch8 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Nick is late for work because he talks to Gatsby, reminds me of the clock that almost broke a few chapters back #Ch8 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

He's never used his pool but right when it needs to be drained he wants to swim... heavy symbolism #Ch8 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Autumn/Fall is becoming a huge theme recently #Ch8 #TGGsymbol

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

The more I read the more Daisy becomes the villain. She made a promise to Gatsby and broke it... #Ch8 #TGGwaste

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

And the secrets come out.... #Ch8 #TGGsymbol

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Gatsby says he loved her for her youth, but idolized her for her money. Sound familiar? #Ch8 #TGGwaste #TGGcash

[Skylar @skylar2018p5m]

Nick makes what I think is a pretty good suggestion: Gatsby should leave. Shouldn't have done that #storytime #Ch8 #TGGwaste
