day 3 no power, no phone service, no internet

it's looking like I'm not gonna have power for days, we're getting estimates of up to a week without it. I'm currently in the parking lot of my job stealing company time and Internet to catch up everyone and all the messages (cause why am I at my job during a state of emergency? yeah I'm not gonna be here for free)

but I have so much to tell you..climate change is happening (no surprise)! I've lived here for years and I've never experienced a derecho + tornado in my life. its like if project zomboid was real life because it's so fucking dark guys. no lights are working. the biggest power outage I've ever seen. never take having power for granted.

I had to drive state lines for just some gas and supplies, there's only two or three working ones here right now and the lines are looping into roads, neighborhoods. you'll be waiting hours hoping the gas won't run out. people are hoarding supplies. I spent most of my day turning my house into a hotbox but all my food is gonna spoil anyway so I used it to cook meals for my whole neighborhood. I'm def just gonna be eating ramen and spam for the next couple of days though. thankful I splurged on a gas stove.

I saw a few trees explode. my neighbor's house has a whole tree uprooted and currently in the middle of their living room. makes me real thankful the town told me they wanted to remove my five trees on my property, feels like it was a warning at this point.

but yeah that's all I got for y'all rn. I'm okay, thank you for all the kind messages, I have over 100 dms lol. look on the bright side! I survived a car hitting me, a street lamp nearly falling on me, and no trees fell into my house! I sure miss A/C tho I've been sleeping butt ass naked...
