i just turned 32, but yesterday i described an AC unit i was thinking of buying to my friend, as well as the specific problem it would solve in my life and he said, "you mean the Midea U? that's my dream AC!" so yeah i feel like we both deserve to be 32
i dunno the bit of guitar at the end of this is some of my favorite guitar playing ever (as in me playing) and i'm pretty sure we didn't even use it in the game. i need to make a whole song out of that part https://t.co/rN5E038L5U
So, eleven-and-a-bit years ago, I wrote the only written narrative in Minecraft: the story that appears after you kill the Ender Dragon. (A narrative which players often call The End Poem.)
Today, I officially librated that ending.
Er, what does that mean?

well. the hogs are coming back to brooklyn. just a small shame we'll have to give up the sequential license plates my brother and i got in south carolina
moving back to new york after 2 yrs and have been trying to sell my hog since i know it'll get stolen there. but every time i walk up to it in a parking lot it greets me like a happy dog and i think maybe i shouldn't give it up
why this is a thing i still get to think about once a week, i have no idea. i think about nature reclaiming old buildings. people will just naturally repurpose stuff they think is abandoned. well, mcsm may be dead but i am not. now please get off my lawn.
if you really want to see the minecraft story mode soundtrack on spotify, please don't just upload it there yourself pretending to be us. that is weird. believe it or not, the reason it's not up there is not because we haven't figured out how lol
if you see any mcsm music (not counting story mode archives) on any platform besides youtube and soundcloud it's just someone pretending to be us. and there's a good chance it's someone pretending to be us anyway.
update. we just passed 8k subs on youtube. a year ago we had 4.5k. most of the subs on our mostly mcsm related channel have come while the game is not even being sold. i don't know what to do with this information. but. my dead organization is booming. (also thanks)
then maybe we can all move on. to some other place when i release actual new music sometime in the next few months? for now, enjoy the old... uh sound of "nostalgia" as the kids are calling it
We're releasing a Minecraft: Story Mode album. All songs that didn't make it into the game. Watch this: https://t.co/YIXE1etbZq Preorder here: https://t.co/NJHeN7jqC6
the problem is, as we are so youtube centric, it has also become the main place where i experience community around my music. and i just completely shut off that community. i think it should be there if you want it. and most other people i've talked to seem to want it, as well
youtube is the only place to listen to much of my music. it's an odd reality that to listen to it, you have to be immediately presented with other people's thoughts on it. that's strange isn't it? you don't experience that so blatantly in a record shop or a bookstore or a museum
