There's already socialism in capitalism, it just flows up. Look at the trees planted on your sidewalk, your tax money paid the company that planted them. A new police station goes up and your tax money pays the company building it. Banks fail and get bailed out. Car companies get EV tax credits. Nothing wrong with any of that, it's how the system works. Regular ppl pay for all of it and the money flows through businesses.
Anyone who invents or builds something that makes life better should be able to get insanely rich, that's what makes this country great. But half the country owns about 2.5% of the wealth. The ppl at the top can put in a little more, and it should go to the ones who need it most. Someone working 50 hrs a week who can't cover rent. A kid with no connections and a great idea.
And look at where a lot of our tax money goes. Over $1 trillion a year on the military, more than the next several countries combined, like we're getting invaded every day. We can defend this country on a lot less. Cut it way down, stop trying to police the whole world, and put that money into ppl here.
No matter who's in power, the rules keep getting written for the ppl who already have the most. That has to change, and it won't happen by asking nicely. Vote out anyone in either party who protects the system the way it is. I want the door open for everyone.
@RandPaul The last time the House voted on requiring a warrant for searches of Americans' data, it failed in a 212 to 212 tie. Every president promises reform until they're the one holding the power.
