Progress is flying at the Salt Lake City Water Reclamation Facility!
Our team is firing on all cylinders, knocking out final punch list items & transitioning into the next critical stages of this massive infrastructure project. These recent views from atop the rooftop & inside the dewatering building showcase the true scale of the work being delivered. This success is a direct result of the Skyline family pulling together.
From our dedicated site leadership to our highly skilled journeymen & apprentices, every single person on site has kept our core values top of mind: Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.
It takes an entire community of craft professionals to support an infrastructure project of this magnitude & at Skyline; we couldn't be prouder of the hard work & coordination our crews demonstrate every single day.
Keep up the incredible work, team!
Some of our accounting team got a crash course in safety inspections last month!
They volunteered to help inspect the warehouse at our main office under the direction of our Safety team, and they did a great job.
Safety is our first core value here at Skyline Electric, and that applies to all of our teammates — both in the field and in the office. This was a great example of that value being put into action.
Great job, accounting team!
Skyline Family! Do you ever find yourself needing to expand an existing KO hole? If there is already a hole there, it is difficult without a pilot bit. Now we can do that with the Guide-O special pilot bit, made for Bi-Metal AND Carbide-Tipped hole saws.
See these options and let us know if you could use them on our project:

Integrity and professionalism remain at the forefront as Skyline Electric finalizes the SLCWRF Substation and energizes medium voltage loops across all buildings. ⚡
This phase of the project requires extensive coordination, precision, and technical expertise to ensure every connection is reliable and every system is built for long-term resilience. From wire pulls to complex control system verification, every detail plays a critical role in powering infrastructure that will serve more than 200,000 Salt Lake City customers.
Proud to work alongside outstanding partners to deliver safe, dependable, and future-ready electrical systems for this vital community project.
Proud to be part of Timpanogos Special Service District’s Package B Improvements project — helping build the electrical backbone that powers the future of water reclamation infrastructure. ⚡💧
Skyline’s work includes medium voltage switchgear and transformers, duct banks, MCCs, power distribution, fiber optic networks, lighting, fire alarm systems, and field instrumentation supporting new tertiary treatment and UV disinfection facilities designed for both current demands and future expansion.
One of the most important aspects of this project is the coordination of owner-furnished electrical and process equipment alongside multiple contractors and the owner’s system integrator to deliver a safe, reliable, and maintainable system for the upgraded facility.
We’re proud to support critical infrastructure projects that strengthen our communities for years to come.
Celebrating Jeri Brydson for an incredible commitment to Excellence! The Energy Division at Skyline Electric has spent the past year focused on the Valmy Power Plant near Elko, NV. We have helped convert their generating units from a coal-fired operation to natural gas. We are proud to have successfully completed Unit 1 and are now nearing completion on Unit 2, marking a significant milestone for both our division and the customer.
This project has required tremendous effort from our field crews, supervision, project management, and support teams while safely navigating complex schedules, outages, and plant operations. The dedication and professionalism shown throughout this project continue to strengthen Skyline Electric’s reputation as a trusted leader in industrial and power generation work.
Did You Know? For every 5 experienced electricians retiring right now, only 2 are entering the trade.
There's never been a better time to get into the electrical trade! The skilled labor shortage in our industry is real — and it's reshaping how projects get built. At Skyline Electric, investing in our people isn't just good culture, it's good strategy. We're proud to develop the next generation of highly paid electrical professionals in Utah and Arizona.
While David was off working another project, our team had the chance to walk the Ogden Courtyard site and hear directly from the people who work alongside him every day — our customer, the building's facility manager, and a peer subcontractor. The feedback was unanimous: David shows up on time, is great to work with, and consistently leads with Integrity. Our customer praised him at least three separate times during the walkthrough.
That kind of reputation isn't built in a day — it's built one honest, dependable shift at a time.
Thank you, David, for the way you represent our team and take care of our customers. We're grateful for you.
At Skyline Electric, Integrity means doing the job right, especially during the critical prep work for system startup. We take pride in our transparent communication with the GC and our partners as we navigate the integration phase. Our professional approach to the punch list ensures that the Salt Lake City Water Reclamation Facility receives a system built to last and perform.
