New release of Sky Map ("Jupiter") rolling out now. So-called because it's a big one - many more objects and info cards including the moons of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
@MexicanoGhost@NASA@NASAArtemis A fair request! Normally we'd say "search for Moon" ๐ but it certainly would be nice to be able to locate spacecraft when they're orbiting the Earth.
@robkmusic@amazing_physics The picture looks fake to me. There should still be light in the sky if Mercury and Venus are still visible (and Saturn too, right now). And Jupiter is behind a west-facing observer right now. Nice pic, but it's "an artist's impression".

Lunar Eclipse tonight! Those of us in the US will have to get up early for it and on the east coast the moon will set at about 7am before it's over.
@amazing_physics Jupiter would have been pretty much behind the photographer, close in the sky to the moon. Confirmation: https://t.co/7HgWpvkzwR (location is London, but close enough).
@amazing_physics If this is supposed to be the 'parade' going on right now I'm suspicious of this photo. Venus was actually slightly lower than Mercury and given that the sun had only just set the horizon would be much brighter. Next visible planet up would be Saturn.
Look west tonight just after sunset: Venus, Mercury (if you're lucky). Slightly higher: Saturn, Neptune (with a telescope). Overhead: Uranus (with a telescope). And then behind you, a little away from the Moon: Jupiter. #6PlanetParade.
