Certain lifestyle has not bn working in this country ,and hardly will it work, but lets keep deceiving ourselves because of politics like it will work .
Exactly, I wonder how some people think, how many landlord will accept that ? As if they don't knw, they're comparing abroad to Nigeria with that kind of narrative
@Benn_X1 Most landlords do not even allow u sharing apartments. It's part of tenancy agreement.
Some even tell you they do not want to see more than 2 ppl at a time in ur apartment.
Shared apartment is not soo easy and can be risky in Nigeria
@Benn_X1 Yesh you're right ...but tell me how many landlords or property owners will realise you ain't renting alone will allow that to happen when its not a hostel around school environment, even if it happens after a while once the landlord discover, its quit notice straight
Good you started with "in abroad " we all knw in africa ,and Nigeria in particular, we dnt joke with respect. So when you're in Rome, behave like a roman ...thank you
Why is “Hi Tony” in abroad acceptable but in Nigeria, “Good Morning Tony”is perceived as being disrespectful?
During my NYSC, I served in an Int’l organization with a large number of foreign staff. My boss was over 55, and he would constantly correct us, the younger Nigerian staff, whenever we addressed him as “Sir/Mr.” The culture in that workplace was that everyone, regardless of age or position, must be addressed by their first names.
I was one of the youngest staff there, so honestly, it felt strange at first. Imagine looking at a man old enough to be your father and saying, “Hey John, can you pass me that file?”
The Nigerian in me plus my upbringing could not bring me to address an older person by their first name without adding “Sir/Ma” cos it sounds rude, especially when there is a clear age or authority difference. And I kept having issues with my boss over this.
But working in that environment made me realise that respect is expressed differently across cultures. In 9ja, addressing your boss or an older person as “Sir/Ma,” is generally seen as a sign of respect. We attach a lot of importance to titles.
The interesting part is, someone can call an elderly person “Sir/Ma” and still speak to them rudely, insult them, dismiss their opinions, or deliberately disrespect them. So what’s the difference? 🤷♀️
Gamble is not meant for the poor, like other brands ,cigarettes, alcohol all do adverts ,and no one is forcing anyone to accept it,its your choice, Davido is not the only artist that does advert for bet coy, leave yr emotions out of the matter ...Thank you
After securing election victory for his family, with the help of Tinubu and the APC who ALLOWED democracy™ to reign, and going to Abuja to celebrate and renew his loyalty to the billionaire class where he belongs in, now, he’s back to advertising gambling to poor and struggling Nigerians.
This is how they see you. They don’t see you more than pawns who should exist only to labour for them at the top.
The worst part of that you worship them. Sad! sad!! sad!!!
It’s easy for @officialABAT to mock @raufaregbesola as “half salary” in Osun as a governor then. Tinubu should come out openly and deny that Rauf Aregbesola and Osun govt never sent any money to him in Bourdillon as then was (God father) . I challenge Tinubu to come out and debunk this and I shall open book for him …
You wanted Osun workers salaries to be paid and you were collecting back and forth money from same Osun to run other political activities of that states … Tinubu should better keep quiet and don’t allow someone like me to open book for him on his money collections here and there from the South West governors then..
Silent is golden !!
I was traveling from Lagos to Abuja last week in a Hummer bus. When we got to Kogi State, a group of k1dnappers suddenly laid an ambush and stopped our bus.
They ordered all 20 of us to come down and took us into the bush. At some point, they told everyone to search their pockets.
While searching mine, my voter’s card fell to the ground. One of the kidnappers picked it up, looked at me and asked, “Who are you voting for?”
I answered, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
To my greatest surprise, they released only me out of the 20 people! 😭😂 They even gave me money before sending me away.
Till today, I’m still trying to understand what happened. 😂😂😂
All I can say is: that day, my voter’s card did more for me than I ever imagined.
Robbers broke into my house last night, they took my TV, Laptop and Wallet.
I begged one of them to let me pick something from the wallet.
The robber was shocked I only picked my voters card.
He was touched and asked who I wanted to vote for, I said PBAT.
He returned all my belongings to me because he was an undecided voter that lost his mother to 13 months doctors' strike in Anambra, 2012.
He said he can't forgive Peter Obi for that reason.
He told his gang to leave my apartment and focus elsewhere.
The love of President Tinubu has saved my belongings 😭❤️
