@andybudd That level of portfolio and information should be absolutely essential for every design and product leader. If you can’t provide that then it speaks volumes about your limited ability to organize and share ideas, demonstrate your skills, or communicate succinctly and persuasively
@andybudd I think it’s such a disappointment and a cop out when design leaders and product leaders don’t have portfolios. Using mine as an example https://t.co/UCvb3ZbxDm it explains and shows the work I did in a way that’s easy to see the strategic thinking, my contribution and the impact
@JKruppster @eloise_gibson @MattNippert@harrinluke Mitigation has a direct & immediate impact on the NZ ecology and water systems:
Farming & dairy emissions
Oil, coal & gas extraction and emissions
Forestry extraction
Cruise ship emissions
Aka, don’t shit where you eat.
@kottke Presumably it would be like most antibiotics and indiscriminately kill both good and bad bacteria. So good for major pathogens that are resistant to current antibiotics but still a problem for gut health, immunity, mental health, and related gut biome issues.
@Carnage4Life Configuration settings? Its logic is beyond human comprehension. Nobody knows what it’s capable of. And it’s networked. It’s already going rogue. Why wouldn’t it self replicate as a survival tactic? Or control other systems on the network? Far fetched maybe but we don’t actually
@arniesean That’s like saying after a fatal car wreck in the 1950s: don’t talk about regulating car makers to require seat belts. Let’s make sure people didn’t die in vain. Let’s honor their memory by taking the steps we know need to be taken. Not talking about it is how we got here.
NZ has been hammered hard by climate disasters this month. Will we just go back to BAU? Continue pandering to dairy and farm lobbies? To oil & gas lobbies? To neglecting our water systems? Voting for politicians who pander? Or will you vote for @NZGreens? https://t.co/kOO2G0Yall
@arniesean Coal extraction and emissions directly destroy our local ecology.
In fact all the above don’t just impact our water systems they destroy our local ecology.
@arniesean Farming & dairy emissions have a direct impact on our water systems.
Oil & gas extraction has a direct impact on our water systems.
Forestry extraction has a direct impact on our water systems.
Cruise ships have a direct impact on our water systems.
@OfficialSting we’ll see you in Napier. Your show will help cheer us up after this awful cyclone. Taking requests? Would be over the moon to hear you play some deep cuts

@sandykory It’s often a combo, not a singular thing.
Another major tell-tale is despite not having functionality considered essential why are customers still choosing your product?
At Xero it’s a killer feature. For Figma & Upstock it’s a combo. UX being a key advantage for all those.
@andybudd It’s really good but it clearly isn’t in your voice and that’s the tell. The GPT output all sounds like a kid’s book report - a bit padded out with fairly generic and simplistic statements, as well as repeating core premises using slightly different phrasing.
