I am aware of recent reports involving an Air Force officer protesting at the United States Capitol. Let me be clear: I expect every Airman and Guardian to comply with all laws and policies governing personal conduct, political participation, and the wear of the uniform. Americans place their trust in us. We cannot, and will not, compromise the trust of the Nation.
Good order and discipline are critical to the DAF’s mission, and rigorously maintaining the highest standards of conduct on & off duty are an absolute must for all Airmen and Guardians.
The Department takes allegations of misconduct seriously, including any that might undermine the nonpartisan nature of our military. Pursuant to a thorough investigation - which will proceed unimpeded - commanders will ensure appropriate disposition when holding service members accountable in accordance with military law and due process.
We should be doing everything to pass SAVE America. Add it to reconciliation. Add it to NDAA. Add it to FISA. Add it to every must pass bill.
Our frontline members promised this to their voters. Let’s deliver.
7,000 ICE detainers.
So New York just RELEASED them.
Criminal aliens accused of 29 murders, 2,500 assaults, 300 robberies, 200 burglaries, and hundreds of sexual assaults RELEASED instead of turned over to federal immigration authorities.
ENOUGH.
Crossing our border illegally is not a golden ticket.
It doesn’t give you the right to stay.
It doesn’t guarantee you citizenship.
And it sure as hell doesn’t give you the right to prey on the American people.
Government exists to protect its own citizens first.
Americans deserve leaders who enforce the law, NOT leftwing “leaders,” that release dangerous offenders back into our communities.
After working for 40 years, the average Social Security recipient gets $1850/month.
After being in America for 40 minutes, the average illegal “refugee” gets $3874/month.
And red or blue, that should PISS EVERYONE OFF.
Looking back at the Senate records from May 30, 1866, it’s clear what the authors of the 14th Amendment intended. Senator Jacob Howard explicitly stated it wouldn't apply to 'foreigners' or 'aliens' born here. The Supreme Court has strayed far from this original meaning - it's a complete misinterpretation of our history.
Hat tip @AndrewKolvet
🚨 Justice Alito NAILED IT in his birthright citizenship dissent:
“This is one of the most important decisions in the history of the Court, and in my judgment, the Court has made a serious mistake.”
The 14th Amendment clearly states "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."
As Justice Thomas wrote: "Children born to temporary visitors owed allegiance to another government—the country of their domicile—so they were not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States."
The logical manifestation of the majority upholding birthright citizenship is that BILLIONS of foreigners -- including from HOSTILE NATIONS -- have instant access to U.S. citizenship for their children.
All they must do is set foot on American soil and give birth to a child. No need to stay.
This makes precious little sense, and Justice Thomas is correct: "I am not sure that today’s opinion will stand the test of time. The Citizenship Clause 'added greatly to the dignity and glory of American citizenship.' Today’s opinion devalues that citizenship."
@TheFive@FoxNews ⬇️
Let's make it simple: Roberts and his Majority twisted the history of the 14th amendment and just constitutionalized birthright citizenship knowing full well that our nation, like Europe, is facing a grave threat from within as a result, in part, of the intentional refusal of our government, when the Democrats are in power, to enforce immigration laws and, oppositely, facilitating the importation of aliens from all over the world without proper vetting. Moreover, these justices know how China is using birthright citizenship, as are a number of Islamist regimes, where enemy governments are using our system to infiltrate our country to destroy it from within. This decision is grievous in every respect.
This. What Barrett and Roberts did is an absolute monstrosity that spits in the face of every soldier who ever sacrificed themselves for this country.
We cannot just accept this decision and move on. We are going to have to continue to fight and to get creative to overcome the decision of the court that the America is not a real nation.
It may take time, but we must not accept this. We must find a way to protect the sovereignty of the United States.
I have just finished reading Justice Clarence Thomas's 91-page dissent in the Supreme Court’s ruling striking down Trump’s birthright citizenship order.
It's incredible.
Here's everything you need to know: 🧵
One of the most destructive and outrageous decisions in the long history of the Supreme Court. American citizenship is not the birthright of the world. It belongs only and solely to Americans. No provision of the Constitution can be read to require our national self-obliteration.
Today's birthright citizenship ruling by the Supreme Court is the most egregious, lawless violation of our most crucial sovereign power as American citizens:
To determine who becomes one of us.
There is no chance in hell we fought a civil war and enacted the 14th amendment to give birthright citizenship to the kids of birth tourists, terrorists, human traffickers, temporary visitors, and other illegals.
After today's abomination of a ruling, Chinese birth tourists can simply give birth to their kids in America, immediately return to China, never step foot in America again, mail in from China their kids' ballots into American elections when they turn 18, and collect social security and other benefits of American citizenship the rest of their lives.
Ask this dispositive question:
If American Indians didn't have birthright citizenship under the 14th amendment, how the hell do Chinese birth tourists?
They simply don't.
Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who auditioned as the next Scalia, shamefully put their vanity over our country.
This is the ultimate betrayal.
Months before the Supreme Court ever ruled, I had a feeling exactly this would happen. An executive order was never going to be strong enough to permanently fix birthright citizenship, no matter how good the intentions behind it were. That's why I filed a constitutional amendment early this year instead of waiting around to see how the courts would rule.
This decision confirms what I already suspected. If we want real, lasting change, it has to come through the amendment process.
🚨BREAKING NEWS: The Supreme Court upholds birthright citizenship, and Justice Thomas pens a POWERFUL dissent.
Thomas accuses the majority of "repurposing" the 14th Amendment "to protect its own set of preferred rights that the Reconstruction Congress never contemplated and that cannot find support in its text."
"Today, the Court does so again by recognizing a constitutional right to citizenship for the children of all foreign birth tourists and illegal aliens."
"I am not sure that today’s opinion will stand the test of
time. The Citizenship Clause 'added greatly to the dignity and glory of American citizenship.' Today’s opinion devalues that citizenship."
"I respectfully dissent." ⬇️
Miller: "If you have a situation as we saw in California... where every single day, ballots continue to tilt the election in evermore improbable and ultimately impossible ways, then we don't have a democracy. We have no faith in our election system."
Justice Alito, per usual, is 100% right in his dissent on Birthright:
"The court's interpretation has national security implications. Suppose that the only connections someone has to this country are that he was born here to a mother who was present just long enough to give birth."
"Then returned to her country. Suppose that country was a strategic adversary. According to this court, that person is a citizen of this country."
God save us.
Hard to forget what John Roberts did on Obamacare. Hard to believe he and Barrett, who views herself as some kind of swing vote, will step up now. We’re about to find out.
A decision that fails to strike down birthright citizenship will illegitimately constitutionalize a grievous practice that not only was never intended but is a stab at the heart of Republican/representative government and the purpose of the American Revolution.
