Hello everyone, we are Moonthara, the Chinese unofficial fan support station for DewTee. We apologize for taking up your time with our statement about the unexpected fancon schedule adjustment:

GMM TV confirmed on April 6 and May 29 that DewTee would attend the Fancon on September 19–20. Based on this official schedule, we signed an exclusive bridge banner advertising contract (No. TM-Q 482-2026) with the venue. The advertising spot and display period were customized according to the venue layout and performance time of this event.

Yesterday, GMM TV unilaterally cancelled DewTee’s performance without prior notice or reasonable explanation. As the only core promotional subjects of this banner, their absence renders our entire fan support plan meaningless.

We submitted a cancellation application to Thunder Dome but got rejected, and were warned that cancellation would restrict our future venue advertising cooperation.

However, we predict that if we proceed with the original plan to hang exclusive support banners for Dew and Tee, it will easily spark widespread negative sentiment among fans.

All funds of our station are raised voluntarily by Chinese DewTee fans, every donation represents sincere affection from fans. We have fully prepared the payment and have no intention of breaching the contract on our own. This sudden change has scrapped not only this advertising project but also multiple supporting fan support plans, while many fans suffered extra losses on flights and hotel bookings.

Our Two Appeals to GMMTV@GMMTV：

Release an official written statement to clarify the real reason for this unannounced performance cancellation, and issue a formal apology for the sudden schedule adjustment that brought various economic losses to fans.
We sincerely urge GMMTV to assist us in communicating with the venue to complete contract cancellation and full refund procedures, and to take responsibility for the negative chain consequences caused by this sudden schedule change.

We are making every effort to minimize fans’ losses and inform all fans of DewTee of our current predicament. We sincerely apologize to every Chinese fan who trusted us, for failing to live up to your love and expectations.

发布官方书面说明，公示无预警取消二人演出的真实原因，并就临时变更行程、造成粉丝多重损失一事正式致歉。
恳请贵司出面协助我方对接场馆，协助办理广告合约解约及全额退款事宜，正视本次突发行程变动所引发的一系列负面连锁影响。

there is no “right timing” that magically prevents hate. if a pairing is going to get hate from certain people, it will happen regardless of whether a fancon happens early, late, before airing, or after airing. timing doesn’t erase that.

also, the idea that waiting fixes the issue assumes the problem is timing, when in reality it’s audience reaction and perception, which is unpredictable and already exists the moment the pairing is promoted at all.

and honestly, the “they’re not an official pair” point doesn’t change anything either. promotion is promotion. whether official or not, once a company markets a pairing, they already take on the same risk.

that’s why pulling out my boys after the joint fancon was already announced was the wrong move. no need to dress it up like it’s some protective strategy, because IT IS NOT.

it just shifts the impact onto fans and creates more frustration and uncertainty.

so yeah nope, this isn’t about finding a perfect moment. it’s about managing communication and expectations properly from the start. and that’s exactly where things went wrong here.

HARUSNYA gak usah diumumin setanggal fixnya or just left TBA on it. gmm udah berani announce, bukan masalah timeline series lagi menurut gue emang PURE GAK BECUS. gak bisa manage ekspektasi fans, gak bisa cari cara promosi, gak bisa ngatur jadwal artisnya.
