Public policy wonk who worked on education budgeting with @edfunding, also passionate about her family, her pets, her Kindle, and the Washington Nationals.
@STATter911@ArlingtonVaPD I appreciate your crusade! We saw a car truck parked on the other side of the mall - in the road right before the mall garage entrance on 15th street midday on Wednesday (across from the softball field). That’s not as busy a street but it still blocks a lane.
@MarkZuckerman “despite video evidence to suggest otherwise” - ha!
You are gentler than I would be. That kind of call just kills my faith in the review process. Here in the ballpark the replays we saw sure looked like he was safe
@spencernusbaum_ I keep typing and deleting replies that express my amazement at the stupidity of using (up) challenges early in a game when there aren’t runners in scoring position.
@AaronBlake We need an emoji that expresses “womp womp” and “imagine how hot was to work yesterday behind that curtain” and “at least finally that name is gone!”
If you were this cat named Ovi who had an entire house - with sunny windowsills with views of birds, and couches with soft pillows - why would you choose to hang out on the very corner of kitchen counter?
@spencernusbaum_ That is a stunning improvement for Young. It is almost as if totally changing the coaching staff and game philosophy and getting some modern training equipment can make a difference…
@spencernusbaum_ We were at the very cold and windy 16-inning (?) playoff game back in the day (Nats lost). They shut down concessions after the 7th inning, naturally. We were huddling in the restrooms between innings to warm up. At least today isn’t cold!
At the Capitol today for a discussion with the Senate Democratic Steering and Policy Committer about education funding (what else?). I highlighted advocacy of @edfunding and its members to protect investments, & the impact of @usedgov cutting funds & dismantling programs
@chelsea_janes I am so sorry! I have been a loyal Post subscriber for decades, and have loved and laughed at (when appropriate!) your coverage from day 1. This is so painful for you and the others who lost their jobs, and for those of us who have lost our sports (and metro & intl) coverage.
@dougherty_jesse Thank you for hours of entertainment. I appreciate all you have done and hope you find a new job that fills all your dreams and needs.
@Sam4TR@dougherty_jesse@washingtonpost@PostSports Thank you being such a good and fun reporter. I am so sad and mad about the Post’s actions. I will miss your coverage, and send best wishes for your future. We are losing a reporter, which is sad; you are losing a job, which is awful.
