Hey @omegawatches thanks for the beautiful refurb of my squadron X-33! Missed flying with it the last few weeks as it’s been on my wrist for 20+ years in the cockpit. Also, thank you to the pros at your Plaza Frontenac boutique for taking care of the logistics.
#Boeing has met two milestones under a new agreement with the @usairforce aimed at accelerating the fielding of the #T7A#RedHawk trainer that has been delayed. https://t.co/PSV0xxtyhj
Man, sad to see her go- got about 100 traps (even a Top 10 one line period as a lowly nugget) over a few months at sea during the ‘03 workups and ‘04 cruise with the Rampagers. Great crew, squadron and air wing. #VFA83#CVW17

What a lousy leadership take of: "We don't fly routine missions. We don't fly routine aircraft." Aviation isn't routine at ANY level. If crews pass up numerous divert fields after pushing an issue and even landing once that's your culture and command climate to blame.
The U.S. Air Force is placing more precautions on its Bell-Boeing CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor fleet after investigators found a catastrophic failure of the aircraft’s gearbox, exacerbated by an aircrew decision to not land quickly, caused a November 2023 crash. https://t.co/n8ytujAs8E
@cdrsalamander I found you via @NeptunusLex way back in the day. You made my terminal O-5 career a lot more enjoyable when I decided to stop playing the game and spoke up. Don't stop hating on LCS, JSF, poor leadership and bad uniforms! Happy anniversary and cheers!
Update... so I messed up my Biscoff tracker, but based on my last known data I think I was on track to eat like 120 packs of Biscoff? That's a lot. I'll keep a better score next year, lol.
@AviationStl You can walk from B to C now along a sidewalk now that all the construction is done. It’s maybe 5-10 minutes, way faster than the bus. PM me if you got questions.
Tails of red fly overhead❗️
The first T-7A #RedHawk soared through the sky completing its first flight with the @USAirForce. A U.S. Air Force pilot tested the red-tailed jet and demonstrated the power and agility of the advanced trainer.
The U.S. has decided to defer buying the first annual lot of the production version of the Boeing T-7A Red Hawk beyond fiscal 2024, budget documents released on March 13 show. https://t.co/E5CiII2ltj
@JoeSilverman7 True, but why are you asking for (and why is ATC letting you do it) an approach to 09 when SAN is almost always landing 27? It’s a challenging approach even today in modern airliners with all the toys and gadgets… lots of lessons from that day.
@chunkage Check out his subsequent “expert” tweets about the majors. Apparently we are all poor (those sub 1 year upgrades at the widget must be a fantasy) and we slow roll taxiing to stick it to the company. Maybe he likes trains?
@DempMcgee My old man, once upon a time a prominent infectious disease MD, was famously asked at a deposition in NOLA how to get rid of staph in a hospital. His response was: “Burn it down.”
@beckisaid Hit up @thegreatplanes next time, she’s awesome. And there’s a spotter on IG “aviationheartache” that is in the desert SW that does great work.
JetBlue flight 1748, an Airbus A320, suffered a tailstrike on takeoff from Hayden Airport, Colorado on January 22, while maneuvering to avoid an oncoming Beech 350 on final approach.
