@asha_shar look to Xbox 360’s success for guidance…. Do not neglect the indie studios and development, consider how important XBLA was to the growth of the Xbox brand and how Xbox got to where it’s at today. Try to integrate old success with new mediums. I used to love Xbox…..
This IS the idea! Do a cell shaded cartoon R-rated of the BD universe with the celebrities voices, the movie never needed to be a fully acted CG filled movie. Roland was kinda disappointing….
@byrdman I think an animated Borderlands would be cool, but I don’t parse that the same as anime. I think anime is a very specific genre and I don’t think Borderlands is well suited for it. I could be wrong. Just my opinion, man.
Biggest missed opportunity of the movie was not pulling any of the video game gags or R rated moments of joy. Psycho yelling kill me non-stop over and over (being interrogated?) in the movie would’ve been epic for example.
@_lostinspace47 You saw the movie? You think the rating had an impact? I'm curious, what from the movie could've happened differently and better by doing something that could only be done with an R rating? Can you think of anything you could share with me?
@DuvalMagic The story was actually pretty great all things considered I liked that the story was dif from BD1, in fact Atlas being a corporate shill villain was fantastic! I think a Handsome Jack cameo, or more cameos with random Borderlands characters or features or NPCs would’ve been epic.
@DuvalMagic Borderlands should have had a dif director, and casting for certain characters. I also think certain actors needed to give their own brand of being psycho in an absolutely Borderlands way which didn’t happen. Either characters looked flat/wrong, or acted flat/wrong.
