@TimGavrich Thanks for the photos and descriptions! Played it many times in grad school. #14 is quietly one of the coolest holes on the course. No bunkers. Should be a scoring hole, but the runoff on the green makes it tricky.
@justfuckingyoda Simpler time - could’ve been my grandfather. Worth noting how segregated most clubs were. Country clubs were way too slow to correct this….
@jparkbrannen@SethRaynor_ It’s (Great Dunes) very interesting but the conditions a few months back were terrible. Hoping it improves…Yale has the best Biarritz hole in the world. It was $20 when I was in grad school. A bit more now 😂😳
@OleTimeHardball One of the nicest, classiest guys ever to play baseball. His knees shortened his stellar years but he was arguably the best power hitter of the 80s. Shouldn’t his character give him that small bump he needs?
@whits_end05@HenricoDems Whitney should be trusted because she’s one of the most gracious, honest people I’ve met in Virginia. And I don’t work for the Governor. Professor and pastor…
@patrickjkoenig Played just after Woodland won in ‘19. Stunning, rough HIGH, 6hrs. No one impolite but we were squeezed out there, three foursomes to a hole, to maximize profit. At Portmarnock GC in Ireland you get lunch, a beautiful print, and fast play (acknowledging you’re spending $$$$).
@LingoUnbound I saw him in a restaurant several years back having dinner with Lorne Michels. Our party did nothing but enjoy sharing the space with such a musical genius…
@EHochsmann@Super70sSports Professor here with a Ph.D. from Yale. Wife is a physician. Full agreement with Ricky here. Such entitled academic energy is pointless. Just teach and write. And Dr. J deserves his title way more than I do 🔥 🏀 😎
