Get an estimate of the instalment you’d pay for the car you want, add fuel and insurance costs to that amount. Once you have that figure then try saving that amount for the next 6 months. If you can then go ahead and buy the car and use those savings as a deposit. If you can’t save that amount every month then you can’t afford the car.
