Many past sonic characters are considered defunct to Sega...it would be like trying to get a continuation of Sonic Underground, Sega wouldn’t be down for that!

@Alex69661479 I’d be lying if I said I’d thought it’d ever get finished. I remember him trying to get it pitched to a network back in the late 2000’s, he seemed to think it was the greatest idea ever, and thought it’d serve as a lead in to a George Liquor series, networks rightly rejected it!
