@DonnyRoss1872 My dad is 64. He bogeyed 18 to shoot a 73 from 6,200 yards a couple of days ago. Still has the best hands of anyone I’ve ever played with.
@ChipJohnson01 It was fun to play once. I don’t think I would choose to play it again. It felt very gimmicky to me. I remember one par 3 where I missed my spot by 25 feet right and it still funneled a foot from the hole.
@Bad_Bad_Golf Courses over 7,000 yards put a ton of pressure on my driver. I need every yard out of it to be able to have a reasonable chance to score.
13. Shadow Hills South Course
It was 112° the day I played here. We actually didn’t finish the round. It probably got unfairly dinged in the rankings because it was miserably hot. The bunkers were very hard. I didn’t take these pics either.
Alright guys, I spent the winter months in Palm Springs. I played a lot of golf and I want to rank all of the Coachella Valley Golf Courses that I played. I didn’t play the stadium course, Indian wells, or Desert Willow but I played a lot of great golf.
Southampton NY isn’t the easiest place to get to so I might as well get this started early!

14. Cimarron Golf Club
This was my first round in the Coachella valley. I was just in awe that I got to play golf in January. The mountains are very scenic. The course conditions were good. The layout is average.

@chadmumm It goes back in the bag and stays there until I’m having a bad day and don’t want to lose more new balls or until the bag is cleaned out and the damage is assessed to all of the used balls
15. Westin Pete Dye Resort Course
I loved this layout. A very traditional Pete dye with difficult tee shots and tough greens. The greens were horrible and apparently they completely lost the greens by April of this year. This would be a lot higher if the greens were better.

16. Tahquitz Creek Resort Course
Starting to get into some fun ones now. The only muni managed by the city of Palm Springs. I liked this one but didn’t love it. It’s a good location and could be an opener or finisher for a Palm Springs trip but don’t plan around it.

17. Mission Hills Gary Player
Okay layout. Conditions were very subpar compared to the surrounding courses. Several boring holes but then a couple holes that do standout a little bit. Once again, there’s a lot better options out there.

18. Palm Desert Country Club
This one was just okay. It was scenic and had some good holes but mostly a forgettable layout. Conditions were spotty, bunkers were bad. Not a bad course by any means but there are so many better options for the same price point.
