Please take a look at what the AWF ETH CTO community has achieved in just a few days.
A community-driven experiment has already generated hundreds of ETH for animal welfare through transparent on-chain donations, including support inspired by Vitalik Buterin and thousands of community transactions.
Every donation, wallet movement, and transfer can be verified publicly on-chain.
This is more than a memecoin. It is an experiment showing how decentralized communities can generate real funding for effective charities and animal welfare causes.
We now need more visibility, more supporters, more builders, and more investors who believe that crypto can create measurable positive impact.
If this model succeeds, it could become a blueprint for community-funded philanthropy at global scale.
Please help us share this initiative and bring attention to what has already been accomplished.

@AWF_ETHCTO
Good morning, Ethereum. ☀️🐾
271 ETH donated.
More than half a million dollars routed toward animal welfare.
What fascinates me isn't the number itself.
It's that nobody told thousands of people from around the world to do this.
No company.
No government.
No marketing budget.
Just an idea.
A simple act of compassion from Vitalik.
And an Ethereum community that decided the story was worth continuing.
Some people still see a meme coin.
I see one of the most interesting social coordination experiments Ethereum has produced in years.
271 ETH later, the animals have already won.
And the story is still being written. 🐾💎

@VitalikButerin
@VitalikButerin Each of us is deeply influenced by @VitalikButerin. A group of ordinary people from different countries gathered together to do a great thing, which really helped more animals,so far, our community has donated more than 236 eth to save animals.
In the devastating 2004 tsunami, eight-year-old Amber and her gentle elephant friend Ning Nong shared a beautiful story of love and protection. When the giant waves crashed in, Ning Nong bravely used his own body as a living shield to keep Amber safe from the rushing water, like a caring big brother. And Amber held on tightly to him, trusting him with all her heart.
This touching story reminds us that children have the purest hearts. They naturally love animals and feel a strong desire to help and protect them. Just like Amber trusted and cared for Ning Nong, kids everywhere show kindness to every living creature. They worry about stray kittens, cry over injured birds, and say in their sweet voices, “We must protect the animals!”
Let’s keep this childlike goodness alive in all of us — that innocent wish to help and love animals. Together, we can support AWF and create a brighter future for every Ning Nong in the world. 🐘❤️

One of the most beautiful things about Ethereum is that meaningful ideas don’t stay isolated for long.
Vitalik Buterin donated 64 ETH to support animal welfare.
Then thousands of people across the internet decided to stand beside that idea.
Now the community has collectively routed over 260 ETH toward Animal Welfare Fund.
Day 12: Ning Nong the Elephant. A Living Shield Against the Tsunami 🐘🌊
Today in our series, we share a story of remarkable intuition and selflessness that saved a young girl's life during one of the greatest natural disasters of our time.
On December 26, 2004, 8 year old Amber Owen was riding a young elephant named Ning Nong on a beach in Phuket. When the sea suddenly receded - the first warning sign of an approaching tsunami - curious tourists wandered onto the exposed seabed to collect shells. But Ning Nong sensed the danger long before anyone else.
The elephant became visibly distressed. Ignoring the mahout’s commands, he turned and charged away from the shore. Amber clung tightly to his back as Ning Nong ran inland toward higher ground until he reached a sturdy concrete wall.
When the massive wave finally struck the coast and water flooded everything, the young elephant didn't panic. He pressed his body against the wall, acting as a living barrier to shield Amber from the rushing current and keeping her above the water. Ning Nong stood his ground until the force of the flow weakened, eventually carrying the girl to a high platform at a nearby hotel where her shocked parents found her.
This story is a powerful reminder of how closely we are connected to the natural world and how deeply animals can empathize and protect us.
