Slate uses Uniswap v4 hooks as the connection between private execution and public liquidity. Users can route swaps through Slate while the hook handles how those trades interact with Uniswap pools allowing the underlying liquidity to remain open and composable while the user facing activity is handled through Slate’s privacy layer.

The hooks also give Slate control over settlement fees and pool level logic without needing to rebuild liquidity from scratch. Proofs and relayers handle the privacy side while Uniswap provides the liquidity underneath giving users private execution with access to existing onchain markets.
