.exe files cannot run on Linux because they are made for Windows and Linux uses a completely different program format, so the system does not understand how to execute them.
If a malicious site downloads a .exe file onto your Linux system, it will usually have no power and will just sit in your Downloads folder like a normal file.
Linux also has strong security controls that prevent programs from running with administrator privileges by default, which means no file can make important system changes unless you explicitly allow it using sudo.
In addition, Linux requires execute permission before any file can run, so simply downloading a file does nothing unless you manually give it permission and run it yourself.
This means malicious files cannot automatically run, cannot become admin, and cannot harm the system without your direct action.
Rhea Ripley will reportedly star in TERRIFIER 4, potentially bringing one of WWE’s biggest names into Art the Clown’s final chapter.
Ripley has already made it clear that she wants a role in the franchise, previously saying she had her fingers crossed for a part in the sequel.
David Howard Thornton will return as Art the Clown, with Lauren LaVera also set to continue as Sienna Shaw while Damien Leone develops the next film.
