It's the billionaires who are ripping you off.
Minimum wage after tax is about £1,700.
Rent £750.
Council tax £150.
Bills £150.
Food £250.
Phone £50
Getting to work £250.
That’s £1,600 before you’ve bought fucking toothpaste.
Then people ask why you don’t have a savings account.
Working five days a week is SERIOUSLY wrecking my life. I don't like squeezing my entire life into a two-day weekend because I’m too exhausted to do anything after work. I can’t even believe this is considered “normal.”
GENUINELY, i think that if we adopted a 4-day, 32-hour workweek with livable wages, people would be happier, healthier, and more present. There’s no reason we need to work this much. People need time to rest, enjoy their lives, and spend time with family and friends.
📝 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Burnley have signed Jamie Vardy on a contract until the end of the season.
🗣️ Vardy: "I'm really happy to now be here at Burnley.
This club has a proper footballing history and passionate fans who deserve a team that represents them and their town.
I can’t wait to get going on the pitch and help the team move in the right direction."

How the fuck is someone on minimum wage supposed to live alone in the UK?
The numbers genuinely don't add up. Take home around £1,700 a month after tax, National Insurance and pension. Then £800 rent, £140 council tax, roughly £350 on utilities and £280 on food.
That's £1,570 gone before you've even paid for transport, a phone, clothes, or anything unexpected.
You're left with about £130 a month to actually live on.
Minimum wage isn't supposed to make you rich, but surely being able to afford basic life without needing a second income shouldn't be too much to ask.
Why aren't Benefit claimants forced to do community service each week in return for payments, to cover their costs. Obviously the ones that are physically able to do so.
Just a thought.
